Kitchen in progress
Today was a great day to continue organizing the woodworking tools and in the other hand to move forward with the kitchen. On Monday there was one more sketch drawn on the great new whiteboard on the layout.
New floor for the kitchen had been waiting for some weeks to be installed and as finally both sides of the kitchen were painted it was reasonable to start building the floor. After some planning and figuring out how the installation works it was pretty straight forward work. The parquet was a lot easier to install than some laminate flooring we had experience from the past.
It was started from the most right angle of the kitchen and it did actually turn out great as the walls were aligned enough.
The tone of the oak floor is not pure natural as might be wrongly expected from some photos but with a white finish a perfect match to the freshly painted floor on both sides.
Now we need some indoor shoes as the floor on other parts is too cold for wool socks only and the new floor is looking too good to be walked over and over again with shoes on.
Great work again today.
